Black Mirror - Is it just a TV Show?

Right, ok. So Black Mirror depicts what horrors could happen if tech advances far enough, but sometimes what good things can happen (See: San Junjpero) I've always been quite attached to Black Mirror. However, I've always took it as a prediction. Because, this could happen in the near future with how fast we're advancing. What are your opinions on this?

hmm i dont see anything like this happening in the near future. a big part of the technology in the show focuses on how it alters our biological systems but irl it's only able to affect it. that being said, I think we're solid few decades from coming anywhere close.
